The 5th New York Global Music Competition is thrilled to announce a milestone event for the summer of 2025. After years of celebrating our outstanding winners—exceptionally gifted musicians who have graced the stage of Carnegie Hall with unforgettable performances—we are bringing your artistry to Europe! This year, these remarkable talents will take the stage at TWO legendary music venues:

Wiener Musikverein

and

Mozarthause in Vienna

the music halls celebrated worldwide for its rich history and unparalleled acoustics. This prestige edition honors their achievements and offers a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to showcase their brilliance on TWO of the most iconic stages in the world.

Submission Criteria

Eligibility

All instruments including Piano, Strings, Woodwinds, Brass, Acoustic and Electric Guitars, and Traditional instruments are welcome to participate in the competition.
All singers are welcome to participate in the competition.
All ages are welcome. Minors must be accompanied by a guardian.
All contestants must submit a completed audition application and an unedited video link(s) for the audition.
A copy of the birth certificate or passport proves the applicant's age and country of residence.
The video should be submitted via YouTube or similar websites. No simplified arrangements will be accepted.

Repertoire Requirements

One piece from Baroque, Classical, Romantic, or Contemporary Period.
The Length of the piece(s) should not exceed the duration allowed for each age group.
Contestants must play with memory. Music for the ensembles does not have to be memorized.
The duration of the piece must not exceed five minutes.

AUGUST 7TH, 2025

10am-12pm Mozarthause Museum tour

(Visit Mozart's apartment in Vienna,

the very place where he composed many of his most famous works.

Immerse yourself in the history and genius of one of the greatest composers of all time)

4-5pm Reharsal at Mozarthause

5-8pm Winners Concert at Mozathause in Vienna

AUGUST 8TH, 2025

2:30-5:30pm Rehearsal at Wiener Musikverein in Vienna

7:30-10:00pm Winners Concert at Wiener Musikverein in Vienna

Deadline

Application deadline: MARCH 20TH, 2025

Note that the final results will be released two weeks after the application deadline. Winners will be notified via email.

Important Notes

Winners of the Competition will perform one piece selected by the judges from the contestant's audition repertoire.
Only piano accompaniment can be used at the Winners Concert.
All contestants must bring their own piano accompanist. New York Global Music Competition does not provide a piano accompanist but can recommend one if needed.

Application Fees

Solo performers:

A non-refundable $100 application fee is required for the audition and must be submitted along with the application.If selected as a winner to participate in the Winners Concerts in Vienna, payment of a non-refundable $1,200 solo performance fee is mandatory. This fee must be submitted by the specified deadline following the announcement of the results. The fee includes:

Concert performance opportunities at the renowned Mozarthaus and Wiener Musikverein in Vienna
Two concert tickets for the Winners Concert at Mozarthaus Vienna
A Mozarthaus museum tour for the winning performers
Three concert tickets for the Winners Concert at the Wiener Musikverein Vienna
Performance photos
Winners and teacher certificates for the Winners Gala at the Wiener Musikverein in Vienna.

Duet performers:

A non-refundable $90 application fee is required for the audition and must be submitted along with the application. If selected as a winner to participate in the Winners Concerts in Vienna, payment of a non-refundable $850 duet performance fee is mandatory. This fee must be submitted by the specified deadline following the announcement of the results. The fee includes:
